Celebrating the 20th Anniversary

Benefiting the Dallas Museum of Art's exhibition and education programs as well as the DMA League’s Floral Endowment Fund

ABOUT

Art in Bloom will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019. The 20th Anniversary of this DMA League fundraiser, chaired by Eleanor Bond, will feature a floral demonstration by designer Françoise Weeks, a festive jazz and New Orleans inspired brunch, royal street raffle, and a visit to a floral exhibit in the fourth floor galleries. Art in Bloom is attended by approximately 350 guests.

Net proceeds from this event continue the League’s tradition of more than 80 years of Museum support. The League supports, both with volunteers and funding, a number of Museum programs and exhibitions. The League leads the Floral Endowment Fund and provides fresh floral arrangements throughout the Museum.

Françoise Weeks, born in Belgium, has infused her work with a quintessential European reverence for flowers and nature. Combined with creativity and mechanical ingenuity, she has crystalized her singular style of Textural Woodlands and Botanical Haute Couture pieces, garnering a global following.

Françoise’s studio is located in Portland, Oregon. Her innovation and love of teaching have brought her to the Flower School Cohim in China, the Academy of Floral Art in Exeter, England, studios in Australia and Mexico, workshops at Mayesh and Florabundance and to the La Jolla and Memphis garden clubs. Her dynamic work has been published in Nacre, Fusion Flowers, Modern Wedding Flowers, Huffington Post, Flutter and Millieu.
